Louisville Apartment Firewall Repair – A Leaking Roof Is Not Always Caused By The Roof

If you have water coming through your ceiling it has to be your roof, right? Usually, but not always. In a recent apartment complex repair we did the trouble was with a damaged firewall.

Finding damage to a firewall: This firewall between two buildings had suffered weather damage over the years causing the roof to leak. The mortar had deteriorated and the brick is beginning to loosen. If not repaired moisture will get into the mortar joints and continue to weaken the wall until it crumbles. This video shows the damage that has already occurred.
